Shoe Thrown at President

An Iraqi reporter threw his shoes at President Bush yesterday during a news conference with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki in Baghdad.

Regardless of what you think of this president and his policies... the man has some great reflexes! He ducked both size 10 shoes - the first of which came very close and looked like it was thrown at the speed of a Mariano Rivera fastball.

Chriatmas Tree Lighting @ The Capitol

There are some cool things to do in downtown Raleigh during the holidays. And even though it is a city that is growing rapidly... some of the things have a great small town feel to them. The Christmas Tree Lighting at the Capitol building is one of those things. This is our second year in a row doing this with our friend Leah.

David Gregory - New Moderator Of "Meet The Press"

It looks like NBC is about to announce that 38 year old, David Gregory will become the new moderator of Meet The Press. Tom Brokaw has hosted the show since the untimely death of my man, Tim Russert (wow... his death is still so sad for me... I really missed hearing his thoughts during such an historical election).

I really like David Gregory (I had no idea he was only 38... same age as me... do I look as old as he does?), but after checking out this video... I really like him. The white boy can jam!!! (and to Mary J too!)
